[Sometime later in the day, when Maya returns to the room, she'll find Rita stripping the bed and throwing the bedding on the floor in a pile. There is some blood here and there. When she sees her roommate, she offers a shrug.]

That weird purple guy made a mess, so we'll probably need to wash this before we use it.

[yep, it was all him, none of it rita's fault.]

[ maya looks visibly relieved to see rita unharmed when they're both back in the dorm ]

[when maya returns to her room later on friday, she'll find rita sitting on the bed with a notebook and pen in hand. she doesn't look up when maya comes in, but heaves a sigh.]

Can't believe you were right about the trial thing. And now we get to do it all over again...

[ maya returns to the room at some point ....... her hands have amassed more bandaids ]

Uhm, Rita..... I'm sorry.... about the biting.....

[hey, we have these neat stables now! and there are a couple cats wandering around!]

she's facing a cat who's perched on top of a fence, and... attempting to communicate with it?]

[ maya is just coming by the room to leave her phone on the bed, but she pauses when she sees rita -- ]

she'll glance up when she notices maya, however.]

[ maya will just stay close to rita... painkillers, tea, snacks, bandage touchups, water, her very alive self!! all here ]

[it's later in the day, and rita's calmed down a bit. she'll seek out maya, hopefully in their room. she'll linger in the doorway, already feeling choked up again.]
