[hi maya, rita's checking out the new buildings and this has landed her in the cosmetology building, where she is absolutely out of place.

her general emotional state is constant anxiety and irritation, but right now she's mainly perplexed as she stares at all the tools and products.]

Are these all for hair?

[ aww, rita.... maya's general emotional state is just a lot of despair, generally, but it does recede when she sees rita. there's also some fondness shining though ]

They've gotta be, right?

[ maya has never been in a hair salon in her life ]

Or... maybe other stuff.... I guess we could experiment and find out.

[she rubs a lock of her own hair between her fingers. uncertain...]

I don't know, sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. I've styled hair maybe once in my life, and it's a damn good thing that prettyboy swordsman's so forgiving.

Well... I know a few things about hair. Yours is pretty short, but maybe I could try something out?

I don't mind if you experiment with mine, either! I have lots!

[ maya's not super fancy about hair but she could probably do a few lil braids or curls or something ]

[ she's gonna start with gentle brushing. she knows how to work through tangles since her own hair is ridiculous ]

[yeah, that's a fair assumption. it's not as bad as it could be, since it seems like she showered recently? hooray.

man suite 1 still doesn't have a mirror, does it.]

[ anyway maya will start by detangling the mess ]

... It's not that bad, is it?

No, it's nice! Sometimes I think about having short hair like this... I feel like my head would be a lot less heavy.

It's convenient this way, yeah. Not sure that I'd wanna go any shorter.
