Oh, that's what usually happens. [ ???? ] A body turns up, someone gets arrested, Nick and I are called to defend them.... then there's trial the next day.....
Solid leads or not. [ the aa justice system.. bad ]
Wait, why do you have to defend them? Aren't you, like...
[well, she'll shut the closet for now and pull out her phone to look at maya's profile? she's not sure what the heck maya is from what she remembers seeing, but "legal advisor" wasn't about to make her list of guesses.]
[ also did i forget to put assistant skills on her profile wao ]
Oh, my sidekick is a defense attorney! So usually we're together, in court.... but um, he's not here, so I dunno who's going to be doing the defending...
Hard to say. Seems like a bunch of weird things happened last night, and I don't know if any of it's connected.
There's at least two guys who somehow got outside during the night, there's that soggy, sad-looking slipper, and there's a possibility that somebody was out having teatime while the rest of us were under house arrest.
I think we were all probably drugged. [ maya almost seems like she has experience with that? ] If that's the case, the killer could do whatever they wanted after that...
All of us sealed inside, with the windows shut? Could've been a gas or something.
[she thinks a bit...]
... Drugs and the like tend to affect smaller people more strongly. Takes a bigger dose to knock out a big guy. Sieghart's the biggest one in our dorm, so maybe he was able to stay awake longer than the rest of us...?
So... hypothetically, a gas was released in the dorm. All of us passed out except for Sieghart, who found he was able to open the door and get outside. Then... I don't know. In a disoriented haze, he harassed some wild animals, passed out in the moat, and woke up with no recollection of any of it?
Kinda wonder if the animals were a trap of some sort... I mean, I know Mr. Blaiddyd is public goose enemy #1, but Mr. Sieghart hasn't done anything to the local wildlife.... but it's kinda public knowledge that the geese attack, right?
It sounds like our one-eyed wonder was also wandering around last night, so maybe he did something to make the animals extra pissy and ready to lash out at the next human-shaped thing to walk by.
... Still, it's kind of hard to picture how any of this would be related to the murder victim. I mean, unless the geese got him, too.

Why would someone be arrested? I don't think we have any solid leads... or like, law enforcement.

[that's stupidly fast??]

... Guess it's up to us to start pointing fingers?
no subject
But I'm better at defending than I am accusing, I guess. We don't have any clues to who did it, do we?

Who could have escaped when we were all locked in?

[ wao maya is smart sometimes maybe ]
Yeah... it would explain his lack of memory, too.... drugs can mess with you.

So maybe the killer used that to their advantage.

Murder cases are usually pretty convoluted so I wouldn't be surprised it was some of kind of grand plan.

Seems more likely to be a series of stupid coincidences, to me.
