But, I hadn't really given a lotta though to a wish or whatever. Just thought it was a trap to get us all stuck here. Standard Devil stuff, y'know? Never expected to actually get anything...

It's not like... work for the sake of work. I like what I do. The very process of it. There's discovery in every step. If you skip all those steps, you miss out on things.

Aspio isn't -- wasn't -- a normal city. It's more like a big research facility. But the main thing we were researching before is gone, so... bringing everything back the way it was would be pointless.
So if we're going to make an entirely new Aspio, I think all of us mages have to decide what that's going to be like... you know, together. I can't just decide that for everybody.

Yeah, so those assassins...one of 'em used a crazy Devil contract to send me and a bunch of other people to Hell. Like, the real thing.
Got killed there by a real nasty Devil and...that's the last thing I remember before here. [he shrugs, like, "it is what it is"]

I was thinking I'd use it for my research, or to rebuild my hometown. But I don't really like the idea of taking shortcuts with either of those.
