Crow's death was similar. Three drinks and some hot dog wrappers in SUB, like he could have stopped for a meal and a chat with his murderers before getting killed.
It kind of fits their personality, doesn't it? ...Not the murders, obviously. But Otome and Byleth seemed to be the kind of people who'd prefer to talk.
Yeah. And it fits with the notion that they have some important purpose for what they do. They can't say anything to us, but maybe they're able to reveal it to their victims before they die.

...I think... if they're able to tell people the truth before killing them, then it might be safe for the dead to know. They could be able to talk freely to each other.
While I'm sure somebody's watching us, especially at our most dramatic moments... I'm not sure it'd be possible to track all these weird things we get punished or rewarded for, without a system managing that. You'd have to be omniscient to follow everything going on around here.
