You awaken in an unfamiliar bed, your body aching, but... not as much as you thought it would. You were gravely wounded, but it seems you've healed. It doesn't take long to understand why, as you sit up and look to see a pink-haired girl, clearly a noble, seated at your side and currently fast asleep, her head resting on the foot of the bed.
A long-haired swordsman enters the room. "Glad to see you're awake. ...And after I told her over and over to call me before she collapses."
"You didn't think she'd really listen to you, did you?" you retort. You watch the girl's face as she sleeps. She looks strangely happy. "Hey so... what do you think Estellise thinks of me? ... Why are you making that face?"
"I just didn't think you were the kind of person who cared what other people thought."
[ it's been happening for two days already, and yet yamato is still disoriented when he steps into an area and greets someone before being thrown into their memories.
this one seems almost benign, and ... a little cute, really, if he ignores the context of Rita being injured. still, he's blinking a little for a second ]
... Friends of yours? [ is what he settles on asking, looking at Rita curiously. They talk job stuff a lot more than personal, so he's admittedly a little curious ]

I was trying to fix an out-of-control blastia. If left alone, he was going to explode and take a chunk of the city with him. She was supposed to evacuate... but she stayed with me instead.
Yeah... I did. But at that point, enough pressure had been built up already that when it released, it came out in a blast while I was still right next to it.
Yeah. That's their child forms. [ i guess rita is getting some fun lore as he explains; ] They can evolve into bigger, stronger ones thanks to our digivice.

They're sentient, but everyone just sees them as monsters these days. All they see is the damage done in attacks and not that we're trying to prevent worse happening.
