[crow will find rita loitering around outside the winter dorm sometime after the execution.
she looks about as tired and irritated as probably a lot of people are right now, though her head is tilted upward, seemingly staring at the upper floors of the building. when crow comes by, she quickly turns her gaze elsewhere.]
... Hmph. All of this is just completely screwed up.
Yeah, no kidding. But as you've probably noticed, the people running this place excel at taking amazing technologies and using them for the dumbest crap imaginable.
They get disabled at the most annoying times, too. Like someone's controlling them remotely? Guess we should assume that our communications aren't secure, either.
Other than the vouchers and another task for it, we don’t really get much else though do we. I don’t think they’d advertise it so much if it was our ticket out of here, but a reference to it being super important, maybe?
I mean... yeah, that was probably actually the worst, and I wish I could forget the sight of everybody acting like rabid dogs. I learned so many things about people that I never wanted to know.

That's one way of putting it.

They sure made an elaborate show of all of this, too. The trial and the execution. Hard to imagine they only intended it to happen the one time.

Although where did they even hide something like that in the first place? I figured this school's not exactly normal but this... a lot.
no subject
Same place they hide the fixtures that make up the other field variations, I suppose. It was probably just another one of those.

If this was how things were always gonna go, I doubt that was unintentional.

And supposedly they're watching us too, so I don't know how the hell we're supposed to have any privacy in this stupid place.

Taking the burn-it-all-down approach looks more and more tempting by the day...

Somehow that’s less reassuring than I think you think it is.
Week 2, Monday
Huh... Can all of these plants really grow together in the same climate?
no subject
Looks like it, huh?
no subject
... Guess I've got bigger things to worry about than the logistics of how all this works.

[looking doubtful...]
Hey, can I ask you something?

[ hm? ]
Sure, I guess...? What's up.

It might even be our ticket to finding out what's really going on here.

Where'd you hear this rumour from?
no subject
Anyway, it's better than nothing and it makes for a decent Plan A ahead of the burn-it-all option, so. You know.

And I think that even if it's true, there's probably a catch, because there always is.

[ she pats his arm!
... then looks kind of weirded out that she did that and pulls her hand back. ]
no subject
That was pretty peppy of you.
no subject
[looking at her hand...] Ugh, is this another thing? Is everyone going to start acting like complete weirdos again?
[did they ever stop]

[ ahh. weekly effects. ]
At least you're not feeling the need to bite people? That's a step up from last time, right?
