[ hmm. bad. ]

we'll figure it out this time.
I know you'll say you're fine again, but you don't have to pretend to be unaffected by it entirely.

he was that kind of guy, then?
being nice in obnoxious ways.

whatever happened, he didn't deserve that.

and we will. we can't afford to fail like last time anyway. I don't think it's her again, but keep an eye out on yanagiya.

I've been thinking who her partner could be, and taichi brought up that of the other list, adora uses a sword. that broken rapier might have been that either she used too much force because of what she's used to.

it's possible. if we're looking at people she could feasibly be considered a mentor figure to, then our possibilities are:
lalli
adora
leo
rupert
kaine

lalli's a terrible liar, and considering he ran to me that week worried his extra credit was asking him to kill someone, I think that's enough to clear him. kaine is a stretch, but she knows how to fight too. not sure for leo, and rupert doesn't. lan wangji was a fighter, so I think even outnumbered two non-fighters would've struggled a lot more against him.

adora's also a terrible liar, though, so none of this is decisive proof. and there's no telling if they're the ones who acted again yesterday.

it was mostly taichi, but i've been thinking about it since. but let's keep an eye on her this weekend.

one more thing.

[ he'll send her a snapped photo of this paper ]

caleb, rupert and the others found this.
day care is where parents leave kids who are too young for school when they have to go to work. I don't know who has that and who doesn't in all these different worlds.
it could mean that the people who died are somewhere else. sort of like the groups when they vanish.
somewhere none of us can reach.
it could also just be mocking them/us.

...sagihara and his group actually died on their venture. a few times, even. I assume he didn't tell you.
whatever reality we're in, I don't think it works on the same rules as normal.
I'm not entirely convinced myself, but I think it's an option we should keep in mind.
