Man...sucks havin' to heal all normal and slow again. [this, despite the fact that he's clearly been magically healed by the voucher spend yesterday] Makes me all tired.

Yeah... that's how that normally works. At least we've got some amount of magic healing to rely on here. You probably won't be expected to do too much tomorrow at the trial, so like, take a nap if you need to.

Well, hard to tell what was real or not, but since I got hurt for real guess it mighta been.

The last thing I remember, over there, [there's a sharp pang of fear] was this weird old lady or Devil or somethin'. She wanted to make a deal. Some crap about tradin' misery for changin' fate.

[there's a long moment where he looks off towards the treeline]

But what I traded for didn't happen, so wonderin' if it was a trick and she just took somethin' from me anyway.

Didn't see anyone else there, at the end, so dunno what they did.

But yeah, I agreed to it as a contract. For Devils at least, it's not somethin' that you can lie about, so maybe it's still gonna happen.

Or maybe what happened to me yesterday was somethin' totally different. I mean, we did that stuff to people usin' that spell [how long ago was that? it seems fuzzy and distant], so could just be that and all that other crap didn't mean anything.
